The Greenwich Country Day School has launched The Learning & Leading Institute to help educators identify and implement best practices in elementary education. The Learning and Leading Institute provides a forum where educators from across the nation—and, potentially, the world—can share their expertise, discuss new research, and explore both broad pedagogical issues and the moment-to-moment specifics of great teaching. “Offering meaningful educational experiences that best prepare our students has always been central to Country Day’s mission,” reflects Headmaster Adam Rohdie. “The Learning and Leading Institute both supports this mission and enables our school to contribute to the greater effort to offer all children an education that prepares them well for life.” For more information, see article “Where Great Teachers Go to Learn,” GCDS News, January 2011.
