Teaching at GCDSGreat teachers are the cornerstone of a great school. Their work supports the growth and success of each student. For over eighty years, Country Day classrooms have been filled with teachers who are committed to building intellectual skills, instilling strong values, and inspiring a love for learning, while preparing students to attend the finest secondary schools.
We believe the quality of our faculty is essential to the achievement of our mission. The Greenwich Country Day School challenges students in mind, body, and spirit-for their personal growth and for the common good. Our school is fully accredited by CAIS (Connecticut Association of Independent Schools) and NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools).
GCDS offers competitive salaries and benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, tuition remission, graduate school reimbursement and housing. The professional culture is maintained through a generous professional development program which encourages faculty to grow personally and professionally through workshops, conferences, training, on-site lectures, and sabbaticals
